Foundations of HCDE: GMO Corn Research Project
This project was completed as part of an undergraduate course in Foundations of Human Centered Design & Engineering, in Winter 2016.
For this project, I worked with a group of three other Human Centered Design & Engineering students to research the topic of genetically engineered corn. Our group was tasked with researching and writing about academic and public discourse on the topic, interviewing a professional knowledgeable about GMOs, creating a website of our findings, and presenting our key points from the research
My roles:
-
Research public discourse surrounding genetically engineered corn
-
Creation and design of the website
-
Writing sections of the research report: the introduction and the public discourse section
-
Creation of annotated bibliographies for associated references
-
Present elevator pitch for our topic
-
Final presentation slide regarding "the future of genetically engineered corn"
-
Update twitter with relevant articles pertaining to GMOs
